This privacy statement explains how Trayler B.V. processes personal data of involved parties, categorized by the various processing activities.


We place great importance on the privacy of everyone and therefore process personal data in accordance with the privacy regulations applicable in the Netherlands and the European Union. We also maintain a privacy administration and keep track of our processing activities in a register of processing activities as part of that. Of course, we implement appropriate security measures, both organizationally and technically, to ensure the safety of personal data.

This Privacy Statement applies to all individuals for whom Trayler processes personal data.

What personal data does Trayler process?

Why does Trayler process your personal data?

The security of your data
Trayler takes appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data against loss or any form of unlawful processing. Individuals who have access to your data on behalf of Trayler are required to maintain confidentiality. Trayler uses generally accepted industry standards of technological and operational security to protect personal data against loss, misuse, alteration, or destruction. Trayler has also established a protocol for the (timely) reporting of data breaches.

Engaging/sharing data with third parties
In certain cases, it may be necessary for Trayler to give third parties access to personal data. Below is a non-exhaustive overview:

  • Third parties, such as regulators and other authorities, to comply with our legal obligations.

  • External suppliers in connection with the processing of your personal data for the purposes described in this Privacy Statement, such as IT suppliers and providers of communication services. 


Transfer of your personal data to the above third parties will only occur for the purposes mentioned in this Privacy Statement.


Third parties to whom we provide your personal data may themselves be responsible for compliance with privacy legislation. Trayler is in that case not responsible or liable for the processing of your personal data by these third parties. Insofar as a third party processes your personal data in the capacity of a processor of Trayler and thus acts at the request and according to the instructions of Trayler, Trayler concludes a processor agreement with such third party that meets the requirements set forth in the Regulation.


Data outside the European Economic Area
With the exception of personal data obtained through Google Analytics, Trayler will not transfer personal data to a recipient in a country outside the European Union.


Legal bases
When processing personal data, Trayler bases itself on various legal bases. Data processing may be necessary for the execution of an agreement (for the provision of services or products) we have entered into or necessary for the fulfillment of a legal obligation. In some cases, we ask for your explicit consent, for example, for the use of certain cookies, or, when you are not a customer, for receiving commercial communications.


Finally, there are processing activities based on a legitimate interest of Trayler, such as processing in the context of internal management, for the purpose of effective communication, quality improvement, or direct marketing processing for customers and active contacts of Trayler. In the latter case, an opt-out is always offered.


Retention periods
Trayler does not retain your personal data longer than is necessary. This means that we retain the data as long as needed for the purposes mentioned in this privacy statement. Once you no longer purchase services or products from us and/or no longer use our website, and no obligations exist between you and us, your personal data will be deleted as soon as possible. Exempt from this are the data we are required to retain longer because the law obliges us to do so. For example, the statutory retention period of 7 years.


Automated decision-making and profiling
Trayler does not make decisions based on automated processing regarding matters that could have (significant) consequences for you.


There is no 'profiling' taking place at Trayler. 


Your rights
You can request Trayler to correct, supplement, delete, or shield your data if the data is incomplete, incorrect, or processed in violation of a legal requirement. Additionally, you have the right to request the data we hold about you. The aforementioned rights can only be exercised concerning your own personal data. It is not permitted to exercise these rights concerning the personal data of others. Trayler may ask you to further identify yourself for this.

Additionally, you have the right to object to the processing of your personal data. Trayler will not cease processing if it is legally obligated to do so or if other compelling legitimate grounds for processing exist that outweigh your interests, rights, and freedoms or relate to the establishment, exercise, or substantiation of a legal claim.

At Trayler, we place great value on the quality of our work and on our customers’ satisfaction with our services. To this end, we regularly conduct research, and we use the results to continuously improve our services. Trayler reserves the right to modify or change this Privacy Statement, for example, when changes occur in the processing or regulations change. Use of Google Analytics
Trayler uses Google Analytics to gain insight into, among other things, visitor flows, traffic sources, and page views on our website. This means that Google acts as a processor in the processing of personal data by Trayler. Trayler has therefore concluded a processing agreement with Google.

Information collected with Google Analytics is anonymized as much as possible. For example, Trayler does not gain insight into which individual visitors have which visits to our website. Google will never process your full IP address and will always mask the last octet of your IP address.


The information obtained is stored by Google on servers in the United States. Google is part of the EU - US Privacy Shield agreement of the US Department of Commerce.
